University-Hosted Symposium Demonstrates Cyber Leadership
William & Mary hosted the 2026 VICEROY Symposium, bringing together leaders from government, academia, and industry to advance cyber-spectrum education, mission readiness, and national security workforce development.
TribeCyber Earns Third Place in Virginia Cyber Cup Debut
In its first appearance at the Virginia Cyber Cup, William & Mary’s TribeCyber team earned a third-place finish and demonstrated strong performance in both technical and hands-on competition challenges.

2026 VICEROY Symposium

The 2026 VICEROY Symposium brought together leaders, educators, operators, and scholars to strengthen cyber-spectrum talent pathways, operational integration, and readiness across all warfighting domains.
Hosted at William & Mary, the symposium highlighted this year’s theme, Empowering Mission-Ready Cyber-Spectrum Leaders, through keynote speakers, panel discussions, and cross-sector collaboration.
Summer 2026: ACC A29 & CDAO Intelligence Data & AI Internships
Application deadline: April 23, 2026
Location: Langley Air Force Base, Hampton, VA
The Whole of Government Center of Excellence (WGC) invited students to apply for Summer 2026 internships with the U.S. Air Force Air Combat Command in Intelligence Data/Tech Futures (A29) and the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO).
These internships offered hands-on experience in data-driven decision-making, process optimization, and emerging technologies in a real-world defense environment.
Selected students could also be eligible for support through the WGC National Security Internship Program.
CyberForge 2026 – Forge Your Future in Cybersecurity

CyberForge 2026 brings together students, professionals, and cybersecurity enthusiasts for two high-energy days of Capture the Flag challenges, expert talks, and community networking. Whether you're just starting out or deep into your cyber journey, this event is built to forge both skills and connections.

Students: $10 before Sept 14, $15 after.
General: $30 before Sept 14, $40 after.

Join us for the February VICEROY Virtual Series session focused on Career Readiness and Personal Branding. This virtual event is designed to help VICEROY scholars and students prepare for the job market with practical, career-focused guidance.
Topics include interview preparation, resume development, responsible use of AI in the job search, the importance of soft skills, and strategies for building and managing a strong personal brand using LinkedIn as a professional networking tool.

VICEROY Cyber Competition – Chapter 2: Sentinel's Watch

Sentinel’s Watch is the second chapter of the 2025–2026 VICEROY Challenge Series. Following Chapter 1: Shieldbearer, this intermediate stage brings participants one step closer to the culminating challenge and the honor of the Gilded Guardian.
Across three immersive days, competitors face simulated cyber threats that require rapid analysis, adaptation, and defense. You’ll learn to think like a true protector, strengthen mission-critical systems, uncover vulnerabilities, and defend under pressure alongside peers from across the nation.

ACSAC 2025 – Student Conferenceship Awards + Tracerfire Workshop
Date: December 8–12, 2025
Location: Honolulu, Hawaiʻi
ACSAC 2025 (Annual Computer Security Applications Conference) is accepting applications for student conferenceships. Selected students will receive complimentary registration and a travel stipend to attend this prestigious cybersecurity research conference in Honolulu.

Notification Begins: October 17, 2025
Bonus: Conferenceship recipients are invited to participate in Tracerfire — a two-day hands-on incident response workshop covering reverse engineering, forensics, network analysis, and more.
VICEROY Cyber Competition - Chapter 1: Shieldbearer

W&M is assembling a team for the VICEROY Cyber Competition series. Chapter 1 focuses on foundational cyber skills in a timed, hands-on format. Open to VICEROY scholars and other W&M students.
TribeCTF 2025 – Win Big at W&M's Annual CyberSecurity Challenge!

TribeCTF 2025 is William & Mary’s flagship cybersecurity competition. Hosted by the CyberSecurity Center and co-located with &hacks XI, this event invites students of all levels to test their skills in: Reverse Engineering, Coding, Forensics, Cryptography, and more!
Prizes: $2,500 (1st), $1,000 (2nd), $500 (3rd)
Compete solo or in teams of up to 4. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned CTFer, all are welcome!
National Cybersecurity Virtual Career Fair

Hosted by NCyTE and CAE-C, this free virtual fair connects students with cybersecurity employers nationwide. Must register with a ".edu" email from a CAE-designated institution.

Global Cyber Skills Benchmark 2025

The countdown has begun. Global Cyber Skills Benchmark 2025 kicks off May 23–27, bringing together business cybersecurity teams from around the world for a high-stakes, hands-on competition. Designed for modern security teams, this five-day experience is more than just a CTF, it’s a chance to:
- Solve 40+ real-world challenges across offensive and defensive domains
- Benchmark technical skills against global industry peers
- Earn CPEs, certificates, and a shot at over $50,000 in prizes
- Strengthen team collaboration in a gamified training environment
Registration was free and open to enterprise teams seeking a global skills benchmark.
William & Mary TribeCyber Wins CyberForge 2025 Capture the Flag Competition
TribeCyber took first place among 40+ teams at CyberForge 2025, a two-day intercollegiate CTF hosted by Christopher Newport University. Sponsored by Deloitte, the challenge tested technical prowess in real-world cyber scenarios. W&M’s winning team included Lily Gloudemans, Nicolas Janis, Walker Knapp, and Zachary Boden.
TribeCyber Places 2nd in the Nation and 1st in the East in NCL Spring 2025
TribeCyber’s Red Team ranked 2nd nationwide and 1st in the East in the Spring 2025 National Cyber League (NCL). Competing against 10,000 participants from 500+ colleges, the team demonstrated unmatched skill, teamwork, and preparation — a major milestone for W&M’s cybersecurity program.
