  3. Filter by Type
    On the left panel:
    • Select “Internships” or “Full-Time”
    • Use filters for Location, Industry, or Majors Accepted
  4. Check Often
    New listings appear weekly. Turn on email alerts or check the Events tab for employer sessions, career panels, and workshops.

SMART Scholarship-for-Service Program

The SMART Scholarship-for-Service Program is a Department of Defense (DoD) opportunity for STEM students that covers full tuition, provides an annual stipend, offers paid summer internships, and includes post-graduation civilian employment with the DoD.

Key details:

  • Who: Undergraduate and graduate students in eligible STEM fields
  • Support: Full tuition + annual stipend (approx. $30–$46K)
  • Extras: Summer internships at DoD labs and agencies
  • Commitment: Work for the DoD after graduation (service commitment)
  • Deadline: December 5, 2025

ISACA x NCL $5,000 Scholarship

The ISACA Foundation is awarding five $5,000 scholarships to National Cyber League (NCL) players to support diversity in cybersecurity. Winners also receive ISACA resources, mentorship, and career-building opportunities.

Details:

  • Deadline: October 14, 2025
  • Award: $5,000 for school-related costs + ISACA career-building bundle
  • Eligibility:
    • Be 18 years of age or older
    • Participate in the Fall 2025 National Cyber League and complete at least 25% of the Individual or Team Games
    • Be enrolled in or accepted to a U.S. accredited college, university, or technical training institute
    • Be pursuing or planning to pursue a degree in cybersecurity or information assurance

Job and Internship Opportunities

🌺 Akamai 2026 Summer Internship Program (Hawaiʻi Residents Only)

An exclusive internship opportunity for college STEM students who are Hawaiʻi residents — including kamaʻaina studying out of state — or students currently enrolled at any University of Hawaiʻi campus.

The Akamai Internship Program places students at observatories, research centers, and technical facilities across Hawaiʻi and at UC Observatories in Santa Cruz. Over 500 students have completed the program, with more than 250 now working in STEM careers.

Eligible Majors:
STEM fields, including CS, engineering, astronomy, physics, and other technical disciplines.

Locations for 2026:

  • Hilo & Waimea (Big Island)
  • Kihei & Pukalani (Maui)
  • UC Observatories, Santa Cruz
  • (No placements in Kona this year)

Important Dates:

  • Deadline: January 23, 2026
  • Program Dates: June 1 – August 7, 2026
